WHO am I?
A TRUTH of ME
What does happiness, contentment, fulfilment, or success look and feel like to you?
To me, at least to an aspect of me, it looks like this. Where I feel like I have just won the lottery. Just me and two cats, working in a quiet place putting things together while the rain pours down outside.
You know when you are living the life that life wants you to live because it feels good and it feels right. That is the easy bit.
MY STORY
By fifteen I just wanted out. To what degree this was driven by my character or the result of unresolved trauma I cannot say, only that my urge to travel was unstoppable.
At 29 I returned to the UK got a degree and ended up working as a writer, coach, and filmmaker.
But unresolved trauma, hidden behind decades of addiction and striving to achieve acceptance and validation, eventually caught up with me. My physical health fell apart and so did my life.
LIVE WELL!
To live life well requires that we see ourselves and our lives as clearly as we can and then act toward the experiences that are worth our while.
In order to get clear on the worthwhile things we must first see them and ourselves for what they are and not what we think they should be - or believe they need to be.
When we find this truth within ourselves and live in ways that embodies it, life, for the most part has a tendancy to improve simply because we see life for what it is and can respond accordingly.
Good health and living a good life are the result of healthy connection and healthy expression.
WHO ARE YOU?
Who we are is equal to our ability to experience life honestly, openly, and fully.
Learning the truth of ourselves and the truth of the world is key in that process.
Expressing these truths as fully and openly as we are safe to do so is another.
Living true to the life we feel called to live takes courage, as does facing the truths that we find out about ourselves and the world.
I am devoted to this in my own life and I am devoted to helping as many people as I can do the same, in whatever capacity I can.
Of course, there are many way to answer the question 'Who am I?' but I trust that for now, this is sufficient enough to satisfy.
Clive.
