Oh, that unconscious...
Today is the second day of my second run through of the REVIVER program.
Today the lesson was on intent. 'What do you want from life?' that is the question. Are there specific things you want, or specific experiences? And do you know why you want want you want? Are the things you want good for you? Are they compensations, or indulgences, how do you know - how much do you need to know?
One of the purposes of the REVIVER program, is that it delivers these questions in an order and a way that stops them being overwhelming. The REVIVER program really does take it one step at a time.
But I wanted to share one of my answers with you, because maybe for some of you it will make sense, or make a difference. I hope so, because it did for me.
The more I actually asked this question 'What do I want from life.' the more I would find unfold, the more things kept unpacking themselves in me.
'What do you want from life?'
Overtime I kept coming back to the same answer.
'I want what life wants from me.'
Survive & Evolve
The purpose of life, as best I can discern, is to survive and evolve. I can't see how any of us as individuals are separate from this. We are living things that are part of an interconnected web of life.
Some people suffer because they struggle to survive in this web. Sometimes their struggle is an economic one - they are simply short on resources. Other times their struggle is the result of unresolved trauma and the wayward incursions of maladaptive psychological processes jumping in and hijacking their imagination and emotion.
When those things are cleared though - both at the physical and the psychological - people appear to instinctually just evolve - and where they don't, they tend to live with the quality of contentment and ease.
