The Great Turning

For some, today is Christmas Day. 

Here in the northern hemisphere, the pagan festival on which the celebration is founded marks that time of year when it becomes visibly noticeable that the days are once again getting longer. 

We are returning back towards the light. 

The thing is that not all of the readers of this newsletter live in the northern hemisphere. I still find this remarkable, that we live in an age of such incredible connectivity, that while some of you know each other mostly we are a group of strangers, but that we are connected because we share a similar perspective on, and appreciation for life. I also find it remarkable that the readers of this newsletter come from such a wide variety of places and backgrounds. That we do not share a common race, religion, age, or nationality, but that an appreciation of life, a desire to engage with a quality of life that is more whole, more embodied, more authentic in some way, is something that connects us all. 

Wherever you are I'd like to take a moment to consider this. That there are people in this world who you have yet to meet, people you do not know, that are on the same side as you. That they believe in what you believe, that they value what you value, and that they stand beside you in what you stand for. 

I'm not advocating that we identify as a specific group only that if you wish to you take a moment to appreciate some of the ways in which you are connected to others that you do not always see but that are to your advantage in life.
