reviver: two weeks until launch

Dec 18, 2024

5 minute read

Fear, anxiety, frustration, disconnection, fragmentation, isolation, anyone who has suffered trauma, or who is still suffering from the effects of unresolved trauma will know some of the debilitating negative effects that unwanted stress can have on our lives.

The main reason for creating the Reviver program was not only to help people identify and resolve this stress out of their lives but also to give them a set of tools to help better face the discomfort of those of life's stresses that are integral to growth and the realisation of potential.

Certainly, not all growth and realisation of potential is painful - but some times it can be, or at least some of the stages can be.

The principles in the Reviver program toolkit were forged in well over a thousand hours of clinical practice and countless hours of life experience. They can be found echoing through the teachings and practices of both spiritual traditions and scientific models too.

They are tools built to work, and tools built to last - and you don't need to pay a vast fortune to access the foundation of them.

Now you can access them for free.

healing

Healing and thriving go hand-in-hand. Removing unnecessary stressors from my life and being better equipped to face those aligned to our growth, enable us to negotiate threats and opportunities along our paths in far more effective and efficient ways.

The root of the word heal comes from the word whole. Healing then can be seen as a process of integration. It is about connecting parts that have become disconnected, parts that when connected caused the systems to function in more effective ways. Health is also about expression, life that is healthy expresses itself in uninhibited ways uninhibited ways.

At a personal level when we feel safe to express ourselves we feel at ease doing not? When we do not feel safe to express ourselves we experience dis-ease. As last week's newsletter suggested, the answer to life is simple, it's just not always easy to get there.

unlearning

In many ways good health is realised through unlearning bad habits. Removing the causes of stress and unnecessary discomfort that we experience as a result of false beliefs or maladaptive patterns frees up our energy. Getting to the root of these false beliefs and maladaptive patterns of behaviour requires a certain level of awareness, a consciousness of our attempts to stay safe, or to feel enough.

This stage of conscious awareness is not always necessary in the process of healing as it is the facing of those emotions, feelings, or some immeassurably uncomfortable truth that we have been hiding from where the greatest growth is to be realised.

The more we are able to clear away these false beliefs and maladaptive patterns and face lies at the root, the more we free life up, back to its natural flow. It is fear that block us ultimately. Resolving irrational fears, and facing those that are valid with courage, is what returns a better quality of life back to us.

This is what I want people to achieve from the Reviver program. This is its purpose - to help people find the path back to the natural flow of life in them; to bring them back to life, or to bring life back to them - hence Reviver.

so little to say
3 minute read   This is one of those weeks that I find myself with very little to say.    The first printed edition of The Life Compass arrived, and, true to form, I was dissatisfied.   It wasn't bad. In fact, it was better than okay. But in this context, for me right now, okay isn't good enough.    There is a question that has a perch in the room where I write. It peers down at me, the song it...
relax
3 minute read   I'm telling this to myself as much as I'm telling you, but if I could offer just one piece of advice, it would be this, relax.   I want to be specific here, this really is advice to just to do one thing.   Of course, it is the nature of the universe that as soon as we decide that we've got a good bit of advice to share with someone else we're given an opportunity to test the the...
new moon
4 minute read It's a strange thing to consider, the days before the Internet when printed text and word of mouth were the prime sources of information exchange.   Libraries and bookshops were sanctuaries during that time, but they weren't exclusive. Waiting rooms and cafés were also sources of freely accessible reading material.    The specific Café I am thinking of was attached to a railway st...
